Principal Shelia Stukes is genuinely a great boss! On Boss's Day, the Lower Lee Elementary TEAM honored her leadership. The LLE TEAM showered their boss with gifts to show appreciation for her hard work daily. The TEAM supports her vision as she continues to lead and encourage everyone to be Champions for Children.
Walking through the classrooms and halls of Lower Lee says a lot about the Boss, Principal Shelia Stukes. She has enhanced the learning environment in many ways.
She works hard day in and day out to ensure that all champion students get an opportunity at the very best education while attending Lower Lee. She encourages the students daily with her kind words of inspiration over the intercom every morning.
She expects the best from everyone on every level. Her mantra (and expectation) for everyone is Good, Better, Best! Never let it rest until your GOOD is BETTER, and your BETTER is BEST. Happy Boss's Day, Mrs. Shelia Stukes!

The school year is already full steam ahead, and each grade level has been very busy participating in many activities during Guidance time. October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Mrs. Jackson and her students have been celebrating with a variety of lessons and activities to raise awareness of bullying prevention and to teach students about respect, kindness, and diversity. Students participated in activities that allowed them to understand what bullying is, what it looks like, and how it affects students. The students signed pledge cards to be a kid against bullying. The guidance classes are also focusing on the character word of the month, which is Integrity. Integrity is a necessary and essential life skill.

Lower Lee recognizes staff members who go above and beyond what is expected of them. Congratulations to Ms. Tracy Ann Dover (top), our certified “Employee of the Month” and Mr s. Sonya Lisbon (bottom), our classified “Employee of the Month." They have demonstrated outstanding contributions to the academic achievement and personal growth of the students at LLE. This recognition is based upon the votes of their colleagues.

We have birthday celebrations each month at LLE. Our students look forward to this social gathering as we sing happy birthday. They get to enjoy cake and ice cream and then they received birthday pencil to remember the experience.
