The artwork depicted the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Some of the students drew pictures of Dr. King Other students made hand wreaths with different colors to symbolize unity. Many students also did silhouettes of Dr. King and added words around him to describe him, his struggles and contributions throughout life. We have a variety of different works of art to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr and his ideas of love, justice, truth, and commitment. We welcomed all parents and community members to enjoy lunch at LLE as we celebrated his life.
LLE students are also learning about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in each class as they plan for the Lee County School District MLK Oratorical Contest. The contest will be held at Lee Central High School on January 31, 2019, at 6:00 p.m.
