Students were able to select books from a variety of age-appropriate books for at home reading activities. They were, also, given book bags, pencils, and spiral notebooks. Preschool and kindergarten students were provided an added treat of reading buddies.
The Chapter selects at least three schools each year to distribute books and school supplies to students. The objective is to encourage a love of independent reading by ensuring students have access to personal books.
