Students, parents and staff members of Lee County School District (LCSD) gathered Thursday, Jan. 23 for the presentation of Certificates of Completion in Financial Literacy from Wells Fargo Bank and Central Carolina Technical College (CCTC).
The district, financial institution and university partnered and offered the classes designed to teach students how to start and grow their money skills, becoming more financially prepared for life after high school.
On hand to offer official congratulations to the 26 students were Tonya Porter, director/coordinator of the Lee County Career and Technology Center (CATE); Alexis Stukes, College & Career Coach of Lee Central High School (LCHS) under the auspices of CCTC; Theresa McClain, business and at-work advocate for Wells Fargo; and a host of parents and staff members. The LCCTC’s Foods and Nutrition class served the attendees.
