This was an informative and exciting week for our students. Our students had a chance to learn about Dr. Seuss via reading his literature, and they learned why we celebrate reading. The students completed a five-minute Quick Write in response to the reading. The LCHS JROTC department had a chance to read and interact with our students.
During the celebration, we also had "Green Eggs and Ham" for breakfast. The delightful breakfast was prepared by our food service team, Mrs. Lisbon, Ms. Anderson, Mrs. Rogers, and Mrs. King. This delicious green breakfast helped to promote more excitement about literacy. The students enjoyed Read Across America Week!
