South Carolina State Museum (SCSM) representative, Mr. Bryan DeMarcy did an awesome presentation on the 1st, 2nd, and 4th-grade science units. The students had a chance to discuss the sun and solar system, moon phases, solar and lunar eclipses, and they even had an opportunity to view these beautiful night sky objects through a telescope. They had a chance to see a close-up look at the stars, a nebula, planet Mars, and other solar system objects.
Mr. Dilon Chisholm from the Lee Central High School Career and Technology Center had a great showcase and several hands-on activities that covered the 3rd and 5th-grade science standards. Our students coded and they had a chance to build electric circuits.
Our students had a chance to see their teachers as a scientist, and they worked as scientist themselves. Each teacher did an extraordinary job hosting experimental stations. We had a fantastic time at this event!
